Linguistic Highlighting: Sentiment

INCLUDED IN:

Shaxpir’s positive and negative Sentiment Highlighters track the emotional valence of your vocabulary, so that you can see the intensity of the positive and negative emotional words on the page. You can see which sections of your text evoke the most joy, and which sections indicate the greatest struggle against adversity.

Words like “sadness” or “despair” or “cockroaches” have a negative sentiment, while words like “joy” or “laughter" or “strawberries” have a positive sentiment.

Use this feature in conjunction with the Emotional Journey visualization, to see how your individual word choices on the page add up to the overall emotional architecture of your entire novel.

To learn more about how Shaxpir calculates sentiment scores, read the article How Sentiment Analysis Works in the Shaxpir Guidebook.

The Sentiment Highlighters are just two of the many Linguistic Highlighters we offer exclusively to Shaxpir Pro users.
